Patch 3.3 PTR: Shadowmourne spell details
The spells listed below are datamined effects related to Shadowmourne. Since it’s the PTR, all of this is subject to change.
- Item – Shadowmourne Legendary: Your weapon swings have a chance to drain a Soul Fragment from their victims. When you have acquired 10 Soul Fragments you wil unleash the Souls of the Damned, dealing 6840 to 7560 shadow damage split between all enemies within 8 yards.
Depending on how quickly you accumulate Soul Fragments through Shadowmourne’s proc, this has the potential to be a pretty strong effect. On single target encounters, Souls of the Damned looks like it will hit hard enough to basically be an extra, free strike in your rotation. If we assume it will scale with debuffs on the enemy, as well as be able to crit? Yeah, it should be pretty nice. Especially in the hands of my Retribution Paladin. Psst, that was a hint, raid-that-I-am-in.
